



The town of Cheyenne rolls out thered carpet during that last week in July so put on your jeans and boots and buy a hat and become part of the "old west" fun and celebration of Cheyenne Frontier Days. They are truly a sight to behold and an amazing treat to see. On Wedensday morning of the week at 10:00am sharp the USAF Thunderbirds perform over the prairie next to Laramie County Community College. Throughtout the week in Cheyenne there are parades, free pancake breakfasts and music everywhere. The rodeo is one of the biggest and best in the world. In May of 1789, a group of twelve people from the Mohawk Valley region of New York State arrived near the present site of Lyons to start a new life in the West. Check out the beautiful bronze statue of rodeo cowboy Lane Frost in the front of the museum. The Indian Village features a wonderful group of Native American dancers and artists, the Wild Horse Gulch Village is an old western town setting full of fun and at the end of the "street" sits the Cheynne Frontier Old West Museum which gives a great history of the event. First class entertaiment from music, to rodeo, to vendors and fair food.
